The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Intermediate Environmental Scientist to join our team at Trace Associates Inc. As an Environmental Scientist, you will play a key role in leading field programs and providing technical support to junior professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead field programs within the assessment and remediation practice area, with opportunities for cross-training in reclamation and natural sciences.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical support to junior professionals, helping them to grow and develop in their careers.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, landowners, and regulators, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide detailed project management and reporting support, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results.

Qualifications

  • Graduated from college or university with a diploma or degree in a science, engineering, or agriculture program with an environmental focus, and eligible for or holding a professional designation from AIA, ASPB, or APEGA.
  • 5-10 years of field and office experience working in the assessment and remediation practice areas, with a strong background in project management and leadership.
  • Proven experience in leading and overseeing assessment and remediation projects, including contractor supervision, sample selection, and topsoil and subsoil management.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, guidelines, and permit application processes, with a strong understanding of the importance of quality, health, safety, and wellness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
