About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to join our team at Global Relay. As a key member of our Product Management team, you will be responsible for driving the development and delivery of our Identity and Access Management (IAM) product line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and prioritize product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for specific features
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Development, and QA to ensure high-quality designs and timely delivery
  • Attend daily stand-ups, refine the product backlog, plan sprints, and monitor progress
  • Develop and maintain detailed business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for specific features
  • Work closely with our Vancouver and Kelowna-based IAM teams to continuously improve and support our current Administration, Identity and Access Management product
  • Serve as the primary product expert for the components for which you are responsible
  • Follow up on the status of projects, stories, tasks, dependencies, and risks
  • Collaborate with and share status reports with the Product and DevOps Manager
  • Assist with the generation of reports, Wiki pages, and other artifacts that provide transparency into project status
  • Owning the up and down responsibility for the delivery of their component/feature for Administration, Identity and Access Management
  • Collaborate with senior product management, sales, support, clients, and other TPMs to produce and manage their component's backlog and contribute to the product roadmap
  • Lead the strategic development of new features and enhancements with ownership and development of a product roadmap
  • Identify and coordinate cross-component dependencies throughout the development process
  • Work with Product & Program Management, Development, and other departments to actively remove obstacles blocking progress and ensure product initiatives are within schedule
  • Support Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Provisioning, Professional Services, Technical Documentation, Training, and Technical Support throughout the release process with training, documentation, announcements, and other release activities
  • Lead sprint planning for your Agile team(s)
  • Attend daily stand-ups, refinement sessions, demos, retrospectives, and other meetings with your Agile team(s)
  • Understand the design, business logic, and technical architecture of their platform components and how those components interact with the rest of the platform
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience as a product manager or project coordinator
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • Adaptability to working with multiple teams on projects with varying degrees of flexibility/rigidity at different points in the development cycle
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
  • Experience with enterprise software and Software-As-A-Service (SaaS)
  • Ability to understand technical as well as business requirements and accurately capture technical notes and use them to update work tickets
  • Demonstrate a history of being able to work effectively with groups with different levels of technical and process experience
  • Ability to coordinate multiple inter-related projects
  • Experience planning, monitoring, and reporting on project status for multiple initiatives/teams
  • Strong requirement elicitation, analysis, domain modeling, use case modeling, workflow design, and documentation skills
