Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Caseworker to join our team at CB Canada. As a Senior Caseworker, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient support and advocacy services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient support and advocacy services to clients, including identifying reimbursement coverage options and investigating financial options for those without insurance.
  • Assist with the coaching and mentoring of existing team members to ensure seamless delivery of patient support services.
  • Manage a patient caseload larger than their caseworker counterparts, ensuring timely and effective resolution of patient issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance companies, physician offices, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal reimbursement support.
  • Assist patients with clinic and pharmacy selections, and schedule patient appointments as needed.
  • Generate drug orders and ensure that required information is faxed to the pharmacy and related parties.
  • Document all activities in program-specific databases and participate in special projects as assigned by the Program Manager.
  • Provide daily support to Associate Program Managers and assist management with various reports and program-related tasks.
  • Lead training of new caseworkers, including shadowing and call monitoring, to ensure consistent delivery of patient support services.
  • Regularly interact with insurance companies, physician offices, and healthcare professionals to provide optimal reimbursement support.
Requirements
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in customer service, preferably in the medical, pharmaceutical, and/or insurance industry.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and strong proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Flexibility in working shifts, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to solve complex problems and provide effective solutions.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience working for a patient support program, preferably in a call center environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including effective phone etiquette to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage time, set priorities, and multitask to meet various competing work deadlines.
  • Minimum university degree in a related field or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, is reliable, and shows initiative to pursue new skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry and working knowledge of automated warehouse operating systems.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, fully bilingual.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including effective phone etiquette to diverse audiences.
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to train and mentor new team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to resolve complex issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office programs.
  • Excellent leadership skills and training, including the ability to lead training sessions for new team members.
  • In-depth knowledge of patient support programs and responsible, dependable, and punctual work habits.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrates experience handling complex problems.
  • Excellent people skills, teamwork, empathy, influencing others, and adaptability.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to learn new software/databases quickly.
