Senior Manager, Product Strategy

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Product Strategy to join our team at Equitable Bank. As a key member of our Product Strategy team, you will play a critical role in driving the development and execution of our product strategy for Retail and Small Business Banking.
Key Responsibilities- Product Strategy Development and Execution: Develop and execute product strategies that align with our business goals and objectives.
- Lead Product Strategy for Retail and Small Business Banking: Lead the development of the go-forward product strategy for Retail and Small Business Banking, including quantitative analysis to support forecasts.
- Critical Thinking and Analysis: Drive critical thinking and compose materials required for key strategy meetings.
- Present Key Insights and Recommendations: Present key insights and recommendations based on key facts, insights, and data analysis.
- Project Management: Drive projects forward by managing internal stakeholders, developing output materials, and presenting key deliverables, often independently.
- Strategic Initiative Execution: Own the execution of select strategic initiatives.
- Talent Development: Develop team members into subject matter experts across the Retail and Small Business Banking product shelf.
- Product Value Proposition and Unique Selling Proposition: Evolve the deposits (+future product shelf) value proposition and unique selling propositions.
- Fee Structure and Product Incentives: Accountable for making recommendations and analyzing implications of evolution of core fee structure/product incentives/reward currency for EQ Bank.
- New Idea Assessment and Business Casework: Assess and evaluate new product ideas, including initial sizing, discovery, and validation.
- Competitive Benchmarking: Own competitive interest rate benchmarking on Chequing, HISA, GIC, and accountable to make initial recommendations for ongoing interest rate changes.
- 7+ Years of Work Experience: 7+ years of work experience, ideally minimum 5 years in a related field such as Financial Services Product Management, Management Consulting, Corporate Development, and Strategy.
- MBA Preferred: MBA preferred.
- Strong Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and understanding of the capital and business constraints of operating a regulated financial institution.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Subject matter expertise in building, modifying, and running Excel-based business scenarios and business cases.
- Experience in Synthesizing Analyses: 5+ years' experience synthesizing analyses and preparing corporate presentations for senior executives (both oral and written).
- Stakeholder Management: Experience, confidence, and maturity managing internal and external stakeholders.
- People Leadership: This role may turn into a people leadership mandate over time, and incumbent therefore should display an aptitude and desire to lead people in the future.
