About the Role

The Transportation Coordinator will support and work under the direction of the Dispatch Manager, reporting metrics to key central office and business unit managers. Customer service and data entry are key responsibilities of this position.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Accept and input daily service orders and details.
  • Maintain high volume communication with clients and drivers regarding delays, changes, cancellations, re-routing, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Accurately completes DOT mandated paperwork, manifests, labeling, bill of lading, etc.
  • Tracks driver's daily logs for Hours of Service compliance and capacity.
  • Tracks fines, penalties, inspections, condition reports, on time percentages, hours worked, missed stops, gallons hauled, and other key bulk metrics.
  • Analyze and recommend corrective actions with respect to all delivery breakdowns.
  • Learns compatibility and other technical rules for the optimization and safe use of all rolling stock assets.
  • Performs technical and timely duties to upkeep all facets of DOT permitting.
  • iPass controller.
  • Truck registration (Primary Support).
  • CDL GAP reporting.
  • Comprehensive driver file management.
  • Training enrollment support.
  • Rolling stock inventory control.
  • Monthly tractor leasing report.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience is preferred.
  • Track record of proven customer service skills including excellent communication at all levels of interaction.
  • Scheduling within a fast paced, client driven environment within the transportation, manufacturing, or health care industries.
  • Ability to work under demanding conditions and respond in a professional and timely manner.
  • Must operate a variety of office equipment including a personal computer, email, internet, and customized business software.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentially.
  • Dependable, strong mental and paper organizational skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Daily prioritization of work activities and optimization of company resources.
  • Approximately 50 hours per week (not guaranteed).
