The Transportation Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the Dispatch Manager and contributing to the success of our transportation operations. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Accept and input daily service orders and details, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain high-volume communication with clients and drivers regarding delays, changes, cancellations, re-routing, and continuous improvement processes.
- Accurately complete DOT-mandated paperwork, manifests, labeling, bill of lading, and other required documents.
- Track drivers' daily logs for Hours of Service compliance and capacity, ensuring regulatory adherence.
- Monitor and analyze key bulk metrics, including fines, penalties, inspections, condition reports, on-time percentages, hours worked, missed stops, gallons hauled, and other critical performance indicators.
- Analyze and recommend corrective actions to address delivery breakdowns, ensuring continuous improvement and optimization.
- Learn and apply compatibility and technical rules for the safe use and optimization of rolling stock assets.
- Perform technical and timely duties to maintain all facets of DOT permitting, ensuring compliance and regulatory adherence.
- Manage IPass controller, truck registration, CDL GAP reporting, comprehensive driver file management, training enrollment support, rolling stock inventory control, and monthly tractor leasing reports.
- 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in transportation, manufacturing, or healthcare.
- Proven track record of excellent customer service skills, including effective communication at all levels of interaction.
- Scheduling experience in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
- Ability to work under demanding conditions and respond in a professional and timely manner.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Approximately 50 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
