Job Summary

Davidson Contract Services is seeking a skilled Transportation Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance

Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition. Oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair.

Communication and Dispatch

Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely and accurate communication.

Documentation and Reporting

Accurately complete and maintain various documentation, including accident or incident reports, bills of lading, inspection reports, and maintenance and repair reports.

Transportation and Logistics

Operate GPS and other navigation equipment to ensure efficient route planning and execution. Manage transportation schedules and coordinate with drivers to ensure timely delivery.

Security and Safety

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including valid passport requirements and driving record checks.

Teamwork and Flexibility

Work collaboratively with drivers and other team members to ensure seamless logistics operations. Demonstrate flexibility in responding to changing circumstances and priorities.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in transportation or logistics.

Skills and Qualifications

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills.
