About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Health Records Specialist to join our team at Harvest Hill Pharmacy. As a Health Records Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our patients' medical records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classification and Coding: Classify and code diseases according to established classification systems, ensuring accurate and consistent data entry.
  • Record Management: Collect, code, cross-reference, and store health records and related information, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.
  • Statistics and Reporting: Prepare medical, social, and administrative statistics, and compile reports on activities within records management services.
  • Information Retrieval: Operate information retrieval systems to research and extract records, ensuring efficient and accurate data retrieval.
  • File Management: Label, prepare, and transfer information files according to established records management life-cycle procedures and schedules.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and MS Word.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
