About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Records and Information Management Specialist to join our team at Co-operators. As a key member of our Records and Information Management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and accessibility of our records and information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute comprehensive records reviews, analyze results, and provide recommendations for risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Assist business partners in developing remediation action plans, recommending solutions and controls, and ensuring timely issue resolution.
  • Provide expert guidance and advice on records and information management principles and methodologies to business partners.
  • Develop and deliver training and awareness content to support information owners and custodians in records storage and handling processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with internal business and external statutory and regulatory changes to ensure the accuracy and currency of our records retention schedule.
  • Perform annual reviews of RIM policies and guidelines, making recommendations for modernization and updating.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in administering institutional records and information management programs.
  • University degree with a preferred major or specialization in business management or administration.
  • ICRM Certified Records Administrator (CRA) designation, with certification or training in risk management, CRM designation, ARMA, or AIIM certificates in information governance, Business Analyst accreditation, or recognized equivalent.
  • Extensive comprehension of records management principles and methodologies, with the ability to apply principles and theory to solve routine business challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of business systems, applications, procedures, and workflows.
