Nurse Specialist

Seven Oaks General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to deliver high-quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing services to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs, including independent nursing services and administration of prescribed medical treatments.
- Take a leadership role within the healthcare team, facilitating coordination of patient care and discharge.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patients' unique needs and preferences.
- Conduct thorough assessments, identify potential risks, and implement evidence-based interventions to prevent complications.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and promote patient-centered care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
- Active participation in professional associations, such as the Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM), is preferred.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements will be in accordance with the Employer's policy.
- Knowledge of the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses, Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses, and other relevant legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize care for individual patients or groups of patients, respond to multiple demands, and adapt quickly to changing situations.
- Proficient in the use of computers, software programs, and applications, such as Windows and Word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Previous nursing experience in a hospital setting is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values, and the ability to communicate effectively with Indigenous patients and families.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the healthcare team, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
Modest to heavy physical effort is required for this position.
