Job Title: Occupational Safety Specialist

Walker Industries Holdings Limited is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Safety Specialist to join our team. As an Occupational Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and education to employees on health and safety protocols and procedures.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and health within the organization.
Requirements:
  • Association for Canadian Registered Safety Professionals Certification.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Oracle.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
