Parks Maintenance Planner

Job Summary:
Metro Vancouver is seeking a skilled Parks Maintenance Planner to join our Regional Parks team. As a key member of our capital maintenance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the continuous improvement of our work management and asset management programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Asset Management: Assess job requirements, assign priorities, estimate resource requirements, and coordinate the acquisition of materials and equipment.
- Maintenance Planning: Develop and establish Preventive Maintenance (PM) routines and standard job procedures, ensuring they reflect current safety, regulatory, and other standards and requirements.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate the scheduling and planning of all preventive and corrective maintenance work, plan job sequences and tasks, and provide detailed job procedures and drawings.
- Work Order Management: Issue work orders, review work orders for completeness and accuracy, and initiate or schedule any further or incomplete work identified.
- Project Coordination: Organize and implement small maintenance projects, including budgeting, prioritizing, and tracking costs, and liaise with contractors and schedule priorities between Operations, Engineering, and Contractors.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports, including maintenance performance reporting, and assist in the preparation of the background information required to support warranty claims.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduation certificate from an Institute of Technology Diploma program in Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechanical technology, or equivalent combination of training and work-related experience in maintenance or management of assets.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years related experience in maintenance or management of assets, or equivalent combination of training and work-related experience.
- Skills: Proven ability to plan and schedule multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and ability to read and use engineering drawings, technical specifications, plans, and sketches.
