Occupancy and Admissions Coordinator

About the Role:
The Department of Student Housing and Residence Life at the University of Toronto is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Occupancy and Admissions Coordinator. This position is responsible for ensuring the residence admissions process operates effectively and efficiently, with a focus on housing applications and accurate management of student records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing detailed information on eligibility requirements, procedures, and deadlines to applicants
- Reviewing and assessing student applications for admission into residential accommodations
- Informing applicants of residential accommodations offers and coordinating room assignments and changes
- Analyzing data to maximize residence occupancy and making recommendations to improve processes
- Liaising with colleagues to encourage the use of best practices and consistent programming
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of two years of related experience, preferably in a residence or student services setting
- Experience with database management and intermediate spreadsheet skills
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Superior organizational skills, ability to work with minimal error under pressure, and excellent customer service skills
Assets:
- Records management and contract administration knowledge
- Experience advising students on residence admissions, off-campus housing, and residence operations
- Ability to identify trends in occupancy management and influencing factors
- Ability to effectively manage deadlines and priorities
