Employee Relations Specialist

GardaWorld is seeking a highly skilled Employee Relations Specialist to join our team. As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a critical role in promoting a positive and productive work environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and providing strategic support to management and employees.
Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations and Conflict Resolution
Investigate and resolve employee relations issues, including grievances, complaints, and conflicts, in a fair and timely manner.
HR Support and Guidance
Provide guidance and support to management and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, employee engagement, and labor relations.
Policy Development and Implementation
Develop and implement policies and procedures related to employee relations, labor relations, and HR practices.
Training and Development
Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee knowledge and skills in areas such as labor relations, conflict resolution, and employee engagement.
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and identify and mitigate potential risks related to employee relations and labor relations.
Education and Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field, with a focus on employee relations and labor relations.
Knowledge and Skills
Proven knowledge and skills in employee relations, labor relations, and HR practices, including conflict resolution, policy development, and training and development.
Competencies
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
This role requires a high level of autonomy, with occasional travel to various locations within Canada. The incumbent will work in a typical office environment, with frequent opportunities to move about and interact with employees and management.
