Position Overview
We are in search of a Director of Global Business Expansion to lead our Global Business Development sector. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, Global Business Development, you will be tasked with fostering enduring partnerships with significant global stakeholders, achieving revenue targets, and formulating sales forecasts and demand strategies across diverse international markets.

Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Global Business Expansion, your duties will include:

  • Serving as the main operational liaison, establishing lasting connections with international distributors, partners, and field sales teams.
  • Collaborating with clients and local teams to meet revenue and sales objectives.
  • Managing inquiries from international partners regarding product details and pricing to fulfill company sales targets.
  • Working alongside marketing to uphold and enhance the Aurora Brand through global partnerships.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with essential partners in targeted regions.
  • Identifying and engaging in strategic business opportunities to secure licenses in international markets.
  • Leading the development of project work plans to outline necessary activities for successful project completion, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely product supply according to demand forecasts for each market.
  • Collaborating with local partners and internal stakeholders to create and gain approval for marketing initiatives, product strategies, and pricing models, including short-term promotional efforts.
  • Aligning efforts with internal stakeholders to achieve specific objectives.
  • Providing timely and effective support in accordance with customer and local team requirements.
  • Maintaining awareness of competitive and regulatory trends in the markets where the company operates or seeks to enter, contributing insights and competitive analysis to inform strategic planning.
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of project and business activities with company objectives.
  • Delivering regular updates on the progress of monthly and quarterly initiatives to relevant stakeholders.
  • Promoting and sustaining Aurora's business while expanding market share and product diversity.
  • Developing monthly sales forecasts and demand plans for each market.
  • Performing additional duties and special projects as required.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • An advanced degree in Law, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, international business development, or relationship management.
  • A strong passion for sales and business development, with a focus on creating partnerships and opportunities in new markets.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior management and team members in a professional and collaborative manner.
  • Proven ability to manage and inspire teams, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills, reliability, autonomy, and the capacity to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Prior experience in the regulated global cannabis sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
