Brandt Group of Companies is currently in search of a Corporate Product Manager - Compact Construction Equipment for our Construction & Forestry division. In this pivotal role, you will establish our position as the market leader in the Compact Construction Equipment (CCE) sector by delivering exceptional product application support to the Sales Team, ensuring an outstanding purchasing and post-sales experience for our clients.

As a specialist in the features, advantages, and applications of the complete John Deere CCE product range, including attachments, and under the guidance of the Director of Sales - CCE and the VP of Sales - Worksite Products, you will contribute to the formulation and execution of a strategy aimed at positioning Brandt as the premier dealer in the Compact Construction Equipment market. Success will be measured by the growth of our existing customer wallet share and the acquisition of new clientele.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve collaborating with the sales team to enhance their understanding of the CCE market, including customer segments, competitive product insights, and jobsite applications.

  1. Support Territory Managers during sales visits by assessing the customer's current and future project requirements and aligning those needs with the appropriate equipment for optimal application.
  2. Foster a high level of trust among customers by showcasing expertise, urgency, and dependability.
  3. Conduct competitive analysis across all CCE product lines, emphasizing features, benefits, and applications to create impactful sales tools that empower the Sales teams to boost revenue and market presence.
  4. Assist in product demonstrations for sales teams by ensuring proper machine setup for safe and effective performance, ultimately aiming to convert demonstrations into sales.
Training and Development

You will oversee and facilitate training for both new and existing territory managers, which will include:

  1. Training on features, benefits, and job applications.
  2. Hands-on operational training for products.
  3. Monitoring completion of John Deere University (JDU) courses.
General Duties

You will act as the liaison between Brandt and John Deere regarding product applications, new product introductions, and sales training initiatives by:

  1. Engaging with their product application development teams through various communication methods.
  2. Participating in visits to their headquarters and manufacturing sites.

Collaboration with other management team members will be essential, providing insights on:

  1. Competitive product intelligence, including features, benefits, and job applications of current and new models, product quality, and customer feedback.
  2. Effectiveness of the sales team in terms of product knowledge, customer demonstrations, and overall delivery of product propositions.
  3. Trends in product applications and industry purchasing behaviors.

You will assist in the implementation of any new initiatives for your area of responsibility.
