Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and mentor physiotherapy assistants, ensuring effective work assignments and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients facing mobility challenges, pain management issues, and other physiotherapy-related concerns.
  • Design personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Administer various physiotherapy modalities and techniques to facilitate client recovery and well-being.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary in consultation with healthcare professionals.
  • Educate clients on the proper use of mobility aids and assistive devices to promote independence.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of physiotherapy tools and supplies to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Document treatment outcomes and prepare necessary reports to support client care and funding requests.
  • Provide training to staff on safe handling techniques and relevant physiotherapy practices.
  • Uphold client safety by adhering to established operational protocols and best practices.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master of Science in Physiotherapy.
  • Current registration with the provincial regulatory body for physiotherapists.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience, with a preference for backgrounds in rehabilitation and geriatric care.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
  • A strong commitment to enhancing the lives of seniors through quality care and services.
