The Heritage Inn & Convention Centre in Pincher Creek, Alberta is in search of a dedicated and experienced Front Desk Manager to lead the daily functions of our front desk operations. The successful candidate will possess a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and will be adept at managing a team of front desk personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the daily front desk operations, including staff management and scheduling, addressing guest inquiries and complaints, and maintaining an organized and inviting front desk environment.
  • Train and oversee front desk staff to ensure outstanding customer service, effective handling of guest inquiries and complaints, and adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Monitor hotel room inventory and occupancy levels to optimize revenue and profitability.
  • Ensure accuracy and currency of guest information in the hotel's reservation system.
  • Manage the check-in and check-out processes to guarantee a smooth and efficient experience for guests.
  • Address guest feedback and reviews, taking necessary actions to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to provide a seamless guest experience.
  • Oversee the budget and expenses related to front desk operations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and developments to maintain a competitive and high-quality guest experience.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a front desk management position within the hospitality sector.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to effectively lead a team.
  • Strong communication skills with the capability to manage guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism.
  • Familiarity with hotel reservation systems and front desk operations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a knack for multitasking and prioritizing tasks.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred, or 2-4 years of front desk and night audit experience.
