The Heritage Inn & Convention Centre in Pincher Creek, Alberta is on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Front Desk Manager to lead the daily functions of our front desk operations. The successful candidate will possess a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and will effectively manage a team of front desk personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the daily front desk operations, including staff management and scheduling, addressing guest inquiries and complaints, and maintaining an organized and inviting front desk environment.
- Train and oversee front desk personnel to ensure they deliver outstanding customer service, effectively manage guest inquiries and complaints, and adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
- Monitor hotel room inventory and occupancy rates to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Ensure the accuracy and currency of all guest information in the hotel's reservation system.
- Oversee the check-in and check-out processes, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for guests.
- Address guest feedback and reviews, taking appropriate measures to resolve any issues or concerns.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to provide a seamless guest experience.
- Manage the budget and expenses related to front desk operations.
- Stay informed about industry trends and developments to maintain a competitive and high-quality guest experience.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a front desk management position within the hospitality sector.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to effectively lead a team.
- Strong communication skills, capable of handling guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism.
- Familiarity with hotel reservation systems and front desk operations.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a talent for multitasking and prioritizing tasks.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred, or 2-4 years of front desk and night audit experience.
