Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Terraceview Lodge. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will work within the context of a client and family-centered care model, applying the Nursing Process to assess, plan, and provide nursing care to our patients. You will work under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor or designate and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to patients in accordance with the Nursing Process and established policies and procedures.
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
Requirements:
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant.
  • One (1) year of recent, related acute care or residential experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills within a specific clinical specialty or patient population dependent on the nature of the caseload.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to assign care and share knowledge with the multidisciplinary team, clients, and families.
  • Ability to organize work, establish and maintain rapport with clients, and work independently and collaboratively with others.
