Position Overview:
  • Role Summary: The HR Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing human resources functions within the organization, ensuring that all HR activities align with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Core Responsibilities:
  • Commit to fostering a safe work environment.
  • Oversee scheduling for hourly employees.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for the department, including organizational charts, postings, leave management, accommodations, month-end staffing reports, disciplinary records, templates, management manuals, policies, and procedures.
  • Build and sustain relationships with external service providers to ensure effective and efficient administration of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Regularly update employee records in the Archive Room and the UKG system to reflect changes in responsibilities, position modifications, and organizational structure, ensuring data integrity.
  • Support recruitment efforts by crafting job postings across various platforms, preparing employment offers, compiling hiring documentation, and facilitating orientation for new employees.
  • Assist in managing the salary program for salaried staff, including conducting salary surveys, collaborating with industry peers, and participating in annual salary reviews.
  • Administer the Human Resources Department's website for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and dissemination of HR business processes, policies, and programs.
  • Deliver employee benefits services that address employee needs, resolve concerns, manage information, and provide timely employment-related guidance.
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires by developing informational materials, facilitating initial benefits enrollment, and reviewing benefit and pension options.
  • Key Interactions:
  • Reports directly to the Human Resources Manager.
  • Collaborates with: Managers, Superintendents, Supervisors, Salaried Employees, Union Executive Members, and Hourly Employees.
  • Engages with external parties such as Industry HR Representatives, Health & Welfare Plan Consultants/Carriers, and WorkSafe BC.
