Job Title: Senior Vice President, Asset Management

YWCA Metro Vancouver is seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our senior leadership team as Senior Vice President, Asset Management. This key role will lead our social enterprises, including Hotel and Health + Fitness, and four childcare centers in Vancouver, while identifying opportunities to expand and deepen our community impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Board of Directors and senior leadership team to set the strategic direction for the organization, continuously assessing and adapting strategies and tactics to address emerging challenges and opportunities.
  2. Culture and Inclusion: Promote a culture of inclusion, performance, and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to equity.
  3. Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with a strong network of contacts to stay informed of opportunities, community, and industry developments and best practices.
  4. Business Development: In partnership with senior leadership team, leverage cross-program strengths to identify and pursue new opportunities for social enterprise development and expansion of YWCA's hub model of integrated programs and services.
  5. Market Analysis: Develop market and competitive analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for differentiation in the Hotel, Health + Fitness, child care, and other potential areas of expansion.
  6. Business Modeling: Lead research and development of business models, strategies, and implementation plans.
  7. Partnerships: Build relationships with private and non-profit sector and government to explore innovative models and advance new opportunities.
  8. Operational Leadership: In partnership with the management team, provide strategic leadership to achieve objectives of YWCA's Hotel, Health + Fitness, and Early Learning and Child Care Centres.
  9. Process Optimization: Optimize processes, track and analyze performance, and mitigate operating risks.
  10. Capital Planning: Develop capital maintenance and replacement plans to enhance and optimize our facilities, to meet the evolving needs of guests, members, and/or parents/children.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field or a combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully identifying, launching, and/or overseeing social enterprise ventures.
  • Strong understanding of social entrepreneurship principles, business modeling, and impact measurement.
  • Advanced level of business acumen to identify risks and leverage opportunities that can be proactively addressed.
  • Experience in labour relations, working collaboratively with bargaining units and union representatives is an asset.
  • Experience working with governance boards and committees is an asset.
  • Exceptional inclusive people leadership skills, commitment to IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility) principles, and advancing Truth and Reconciliation.
  • Ability to foster innovation, lead change, and respectfully collaborate across many diverse teams.
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; clear, caring, and courageous communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay Rate: $140,288 per annum
