Position Overview
This pivotal role within the Office of the President is designed to enhance IABC's engagement with governmental entities. The Senior Director of Government Relations will be a strategic and collaborative leader responsible for developing a cohesive government relations strategy that elevates IABC's profile. Acting as a trusted advisor to the President and the Executive Team, the Senior Director will cultivate and strengthen relationships with government officials while providing insights on policy matters that impact the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between IABC and all levels of government, including Indigenous, Federal, Provincial, and Municipal authorities.
- Collaborate with campus leaders and the broader IABC community to identify and leverage opportunities for partnership and engagement.
- Foster and maintain impactful relationships on behalf of IABC, working closely with Executive Portfolios to ensure strategic alignment.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with extensive experience in government relations and public affairs within complex environments. They will possess strong leadership skills, adeptly manage multifaceted projects, and demonstrate exceptional communication abilities. A proven track record of engaging effectively with government partners, combined with sound judgment and the highest ethical standards, is essential for success in this role.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $155,000 – $170,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive total rewards package.
