About the Role

Vanguard is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Bilingual Business Development Manager. This role will be responsible for partnering with a Quebec-based Field Sales Executive to develop and execute sales strategies within key intermediary distribution channels in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients through targeted prospecting activities, including cold calling, direct mail campaigns, and industry conferences.
  • Partner with external Sales Executives and internal Sales Associates to create and execute regional sales plans, achieving sales and sales activity targets.
  • Raise awareness of Vanguard's investment products and services, delivering key messages through targeted prospecting activities.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of expertise in the capital markets, investment management industry, and marketplace developments.
  • Utilize this expertise to position Vanguard products and services effectively, providing trusted advice to clients and prospective clients.
  • Support the development of National account strategy and follow up on dealer-specific initiatives.
  • Lead/participate in other projects/duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Minimum three years financial services industry experience, including at least one year mutual fund wholesaling experience.
  • Bilingual; French & English required.
  • CSC required. Pursuit of CIM, MBA, or CFA preferred.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated executive presence, poise, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing situations while traveling for business.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of investments and competitive environment. Familiarity with Vanguard a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of PC and MS Office software. Understanding of CRM systems.
