Meat Packing Specialist

Meldrum Meat Packers is seeking a skilled Meat Packing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient processing of meat products.
Key Responsibilities- Food Safety and Handling: Maintain a high level of food safety awareness and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Production Operations: Assist in the transportation of raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials, as well as operating processing machines and equipment.
- Quality Control: Inspect products and packaging for basic quality defects and assist in process control and machine operations.
- Cleanliness and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the cleaning of machines and immediate work areas.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Work Environment: The work site environment is cold/refrigerated, and you may be exposed to odours.
- Physical Demands: This role requires standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal Suitability: We are looking for a team player with efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and reliability.
