We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at 1354914 Ontario Inc. as a key member of our meat processing and packing department.
Key Responsibilities- **Meat Preparation**: Clean and prepare meats for processing or cutting, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- **Cutting and Trimming**: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat, adhering to company guidelines and regulations.
- **Packaging and Wrapping**: Wrap and package prepared meats, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- **Bone Removal**: Remove bones from meat, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- **Weighing and Measurement**: Weigh meats for sale, ensuring accurate measurements and labeling.
- **Poultry and Fish Processing**: Cut poultry into parts and cut fish into steaks and fillets, following established procedures.
- **Grinding and Preparation**: Grind meats, prepare special orders, and create special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
- **Training and Development**: Train meat cutters and provide guidance on best practices and company policies.
- **Physical Demands**: The role requires physical stamina, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- **Attention to Detail**: Maintain attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of meat processing and packing.
- **Teamwork and Communication**: Collaborate with colleagues, communicate effectively, and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
- **Work Schedule**: Work a standard 40-hour week, with flexibility to meet business needs.
- **Education**: No degree, certificate, or diploma required; on-the-job training provided.
- **Experience**: Willingness to learn and train in a fast-paced meat processing and packing environment.
- **Language**: English is the primary language of communication.
