We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at 1354914 Ontario Inc. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing standard cuts of meat for our meat processing and packing plant.
Key Responsibilities- **Meat Preparation**: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, and cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
- **Packaging and Labeling**: Wrap and package prepared meats, and ensure accurate labeling and packaging.
- **Quality Control**: Remove bones from meat, and weigh meats for sale to ensure quality and accuracy.
- **Training and Development**: Train meat cutters and prepare special orders to meet customer demands.
- **Display and Merchandising**: Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products to attract customers.
As a Meat Cutter, you will work in a fast-paced meat processing and packing plant environment, handling heavy loads and working in a cold/refrigerated area. You will be required to work accurately and efficiently, with attention to detail and a strong hand-eye coordination.
Requirements- **Education**: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to learn and train is essential.
- **Work Experience**: Will train, but previous experience in a meat processing and packing plant is an asset.
- **Language**: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
- **Work Schedule**: 40 hours per week, with a permanent employment opportunity.
