About the Role

Meldrum Meat Packers is seeking a skilled Meat Packing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient processing of meat products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Safety and Handling: Maintain a high level of food safety awareness and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Meat Processing: Operate and maintain processing equipment, including mixing and grinding machines, to produce high-quality meat products.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on products and packaging to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with process control and machine operators to ensure smooth production and efficient use of resources.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the cleaning of machines and immediate work areas.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Environment: The role involves working in a cold/refrigerated environment with exposure to odours.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: We are looking for a reliable, flexible, and team-oriented individual who can work under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
