As a key member of the Acuity Brands Lighting, Inc. leadership team, the Regional Vice President of Commercial and Industrial Sales, Canada will be responsible for driving sales growth and strategy in the Canadian market. Reporting to the Vice President and General Manager of International, this role will oversee the Canadian sales team and agency network, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Sales Strategy
Establish and execute a sales strategy that leverages the strength of the product portfolio, the Canadian sales force, and the Canadian agency network to drive sales growth and market share.
Market and Customer StrategyDevelop and implement market and target customer strategies in conjunction with the Sales Leadership team to increase penetration within the addressable market.
Team Leadership and DevelopmentLead, develop, inspire, and motivate the sales and agency teams to achieve sales goals and initiatives, while overseeing the recruiting, hiring, and development of the sales organization.
Sales Process and MetricsManage the overall sales process, setting appropriate metrics for sales pipeline management, and utilizing available enterprise tools to improve processes and increase sales force effectiveness.
Channel Development and ManagementDevelop and grow the C&I sales channel by effectively leading the Canadian agency network, ensuring they have the tools and strategies to execute and attain sales plans, and improving upon the company's market-leading position.
Requirements and Qualifications- Leadership and Sales Experience
A successful track record of performance, effective sales leadership, and motivation with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Industry Expertise10 years of experience in the lighting/electrical industry, with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
Technical SkillsExperience using CRM tools, with a willingness and ability to challenge the status quo with a bias towards action, thoroughly analyzing problems, and making and defending decisions supported by data.
Personal QualitiesA high level of energy and commitment, with the ability to work in a fast-paced matrix environment, developing effective relationships with a variety of channel partners, including end users, the specification community, electrical wholesalers, and contractors.
Travel Requirements- Travel Frequency
Travel requirement will vary from 30 – 60%.
