About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Staffing Administrator to join our Workforce Staffing team at Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services, ULC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction through exceptional candidate experience and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and audit of New Hiring Events (NHE) to meet labor order demands and fill positions on-time.
  • Meet critical deadlines for initiating background screening and completing drug test processes to achieve labor orders.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with work authorization documentation for associates.
  • Consult with applicants on the best match for their desired position and available opportunities in the area.
  • Guide applicants through the hiring process in accordance with Amazon's policies and procedures.
  • Effectively execute NHE activities, including Greeter, Welcome Event Presenter, Candidate Care Specialist, Computer Assistance, and Badge Photo.
  • Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems to move candidates through the application process and update appointment arrival status for NHE.
  • Initiate Candidate onboarding and match them to the proper requisition.
  • Resolve candidate escalation issues by contacting them to identify issues, offering to reschedule them, or assisting candidates with technology issues.
  • Partner with Staffing Manager to support community groups, such as workforce development agencies or local community colleges, to leverage grassroots sourcing channels to develop talent communities to fill positions.
  • Contact candidates with cleared contingencies to eliminate risk of not meeting labor orders.
  • Ensure all documents are scanned into the digital file management system.
  • Train Sr. Staffing Administrators, Staffing Administrators, and Staffing Ambassadors on best practices and ensure standard work is followed.
  • Maintain confidentiality on candidate sensitive topics.
  • Track and maintain statistics on effectiveness of Recruitment through weekly reports on recruiting data for presentation to HR leadership and business partners.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in a professional field or military.
  • 2+ years' experience in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment, such as operations, administrative support, customer service, retail, hospitality, staffing, recruiting, human resources, or another related field.
  • Intermediate to advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required, as well as tech understanding of other platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment, such as operations, administrative support, customer service, retail, hospitality, staffing, recruiting, human resources, or another related field, with a minimum of one-year experience in HR/staffing.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems or other tracking and reporting systems.
  • Exceptionally strong interpersonal verbal/written skills.
  • Ability to work with very diverse groups of people at all levels of authority.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in dealing with rapidly changing priorities and demands, including daily work location and business line support.
  • Ability to work in a complex organization that is fast-paced and constantly changing to meet current challenges.
