Principal Engineer for Tailings and Mine Waste Management

BBA Consultants is seeking a Principal Engineer to enhance the capabilities of our Soil and Infrastructure division. We are in search of an individual who can assume a technical position and engage in the civil engineering of mine tailings facilities, waste rock storage, and various water management systems. Furthermore, you will be expected to oversee a project team. This role is well-suited for those who are eager to tackle a range of technical and managerial responsibilities.
Opportunities with Us:
Design systems for managing mine tailings utilizing both traditional and innovative technologies for tailings, waste rock, and water management infrastructures, including dams, dikes, and earthworks. Engage in the civil, geotechnical, and hydrotechnical design of tailings facilities. Oversee and implement projects, ensuring quality control, as well as time and budget management. Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, collaborating with other professionals to deliver successful projects. Prepare and evaluate technical reports, drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and cost estimates. Participate in business development efforts with both new and existing clients. Contribute to the formulation of a business strategy for mine waste management services. Draft and update construction and supervision documents for various designed infrastructures.
