Job Summary

Sundine Produce Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to oversee the smooth operation of our warehouse logistics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating activities with other departments, preparing and submitting reports, and ensuring the efficient operation of computer equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Logistics Coordination: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless warehouse operations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports to management on warehouse performance and productivity.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery in the warehouse.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, and train staff in duties and policies.
  • Scheduling and Planning: Establish work schedules and procedures to optimize warehouse operations.
  • Operational Oversight: Plan, organize, and oversee the operational logistics of the organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Team Supervision: Supervise a team of 5-10 people, including purchasing and inventory clerks, shippers and receivers, storekeepers and parts clerks, and transportation route and crew schedulers.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in inventory control software and MS Excel.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a focus on attention to detail.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a team player attitude.
