About the Role

As a Lease Analyst at BGIS, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients nationwide in effectively and efficiently managing their leased portfolios. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the lease administration database, providing subject matter expertise, and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of lease data in the RealLease database.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the Property Manager on operational issues and lease-related matters.
  • Monitor and investigate annual budget increases from landlords and request supporting documentation.
  • Ensure that realty tax payments are fair and equitable.
  • Review landlord records and perform certification and compliance monitoring as per the Lease Agreement.
  • Recommend rents to stakeholders and generate reports and analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Perform overall coordination and support in the areas of lease administration process improvement.
  • Administer expenses associated with leased space and identify and validate rental payments.
  • Coordinate monthly rent roll adjustments with the Technical Authority.
  • Monitor and report on Lease Administration Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

  • University degree or professional certification.
  • 3 to 5 years of job-related experience.
  • Good financial understanding and proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Ability to read and understand commercial real estate lease agreements.
  • Ability to process volumes of data requiring strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • French/English bilingualism is an asset.

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

  • Real Property Administrator designation would be considered an asset.
