We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at 1921302 Ontario Inc. as a key member of our kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure optimal kitchen performance.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met, and clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
- Work Setting: Restaurant or Bar environment.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, attention to detail, and repetitive tasks.
- Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and time management skills.
