Fionn Maccool's Bovaird is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including soups, salads, and main courses, using fresh ingredients and following established recipes.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and train kitchen staff and helpers to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and that orders are placed in a timely manner.
- Quality Control: Inspect food and kitchen areas to ensure that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen environment.
- Work Setting: Restaurant and bar environments.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication skills, dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and time management skills.
