About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychological Services Specialist to join our team at the Ontario Public Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training
    • Develop and maintain expertise in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
    • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in the field of psychology.
  • Client Services
    • Provide high-quality psychological services to clients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
    • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Administrative Responsibilities
    • Manage client records and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to psychological services.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Master's or doctoral degree in psychology or a related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a correctional facility setting.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Provincial or territorial Psychologist's Certificate of Registration.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
