Job Summary

TEEMA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Audio Visual Technician to join our AV Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the installation and maintenance of sophisticated audiovisual systems in commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Supervise and manage the installation and maintenance of cabling infrastructure and AV systems, including tasks such as pre-wiring, installation, termination, testing, labeling, and documentation according to project specifications.
  • AV Equipment Installation: Lead the installation of AV equipment, such as conferencing systems, distributed audio, digital displays, sound systems, control systems, and other presentation technologies.
  • System Programming and Commissioning: Utilize software tools like Crestron Toolbox, Extron Toolbelt, and Tesira for system programming and commissioning.
  • Device Management: Assign and manage device IDs and IP addresses, and keep detailed records for programming purposes.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and optimize on-site activities to meet project objectives, ensuring the team remains focused and productive.
  • Mentorship and Training: Provide mentorship and training to junior technicians to foster their professional growth.
  • Equipment Management: Manage the loading of program files and firmware updates for various AV devices.
  • Cable Management: Assemble equipment racks and apply best practices for cable management.
  • Project Documentation: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and report any incidents as required.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative tasks, such as updating project managers on progress and maintaining accurate project documentation.
Requirements
  • Experience: Significant experience in the installation and maintenance of advanced AV systems in commercial settings.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in industries such as hospitality, healthcare, or education is highly valued.
  • Certifications: Preferred certifications include CTS, CTS-I, Extron AV Associate, Biamp Tesira Forte, Biamp AV Lab, or Crestron Installation credentials.
  • Technical Expertise: Ability to work across various environments, from construction sites to finished office spaces.
  • Driver's License: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
