The Commercial Associate role at Citigroup Inc. is an entry-level position that provides a foundation of knowledge and training to contribute as a valuable resource in the company. Associates receive real-world work experience and add value to their teams during their time at Citigroup Inc. Assignments focus on attaining core competencies in areas such as:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting country commercial banking coverage teams
  • Conducting company research and industry analysis
  • Analyzing financial data and financial modeling; risk management
  • Interacting with partners including credit underwriting and risk
  • Coordinating projects
  • Appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup Inc., its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of work experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in MS Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience (MBA or CFA an asset)
