Job Summary

WHISTLER 99 COURIER AND FREIGHTWAYS CORPORATION is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Safely: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods with precision, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing damage.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Emergency Response: Perform emergency roadside repairs and respond to unexpected situations with professionalism.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping and handling.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and meet all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Work Schedule: Work a regular schedule of 32 to 40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
