Job Summary

WHISTLER 99 COURIER AND FREIGHTWAYS CORPORATION is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and safety of cargo.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, performing necessary repairs and adjustments.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless coordination and efficient operations.
  • Load and Unload: Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
  • Safety and Security: Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo, adhering to company policies and regulations.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week
