Job Summary

Sea to Sky Courier and Freight Ltd. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Line Haul Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Handling: Safely handle and transport hazardous materials, adhering to strict regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
