Job Overview

The Steel Guys Fabricating Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Welder Helper to support our metal fabrication operations. This is a permanent position that requires a commitment to quality and safety in a physically demanding environment.

Educational Requirements

Applicants should possess a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize metal cleaning equipment to eliminate excess welds, rust, scale, and other contaminants from metal surfaces.
  • Immerse metal items in appropriate cleaning solutions.
  • Assist skilled tradespeople such as structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, and metal machine operators.
  • Sort and organize metal sheets, parts, scrap metal, and other materials.
  • Use hand tools to grind or chip away excess metal from products.
  • Maintain cleanliness of machines and work areas.
  • Handle loading and unloading of vehicles.
  • Polish metal products to achieve a mirror-like finish.
  • Read and interpret work orders accurately.
