About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabrication Assistant to join our team at Piedmont Sheet Metal (1997) Ltd. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for assisting skilled tradespersons in the fabrication of sheet metal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.
  • Assist skilled tradespersons in the fabrication of sheet metal products.
  • Perform other labouring and elemental activities as required.
Requirements
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. The work environment is a sheet metal shop with a variety of equipment and machinery.

Language

The primary language of work is English.
