About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Support Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers and internal teams, leveraging your expertise in cloud technologies to resolve complex issues and improve our services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Support: You will be the primary point of contact for customers, providing timely and effective support through various channels, including email, phone, and live chat.
  2. Process Improvement: You will drive initiatives to improve support-related processes and customer experience, creating tutorials, how-to videos, technical articles, and training programs to enhance our services.
  3. Technical Expertise: You will leverage your technical expertise to provide feedback to internal AWS teams on how to improve our services and work on critical, complex customer problems that may span multiple AWS services.
  4. Continuous Learning: You will be continuously learning and developing new technical skills and professional competencies to stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies.
  5. Mentorship and Coaching: You will act as an interviewer in hiring processes and coach/mentor new team members to help them grow and develop in their roles.

Requirements
  • 1+ years of software development or technical support experience
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • Knowledge or experience with system administration, troubleshooting operating systems (Linux and/or Windows), and networking
  • Knowledge or experience with troubleshooting database concepts, database administration, and data warehousing
  • Knowledge or experience with troubleshooting Business Intelligence (BI) issues and Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge or experience with distributed search, data streaming concepts, and cloud computing
  • Experience scripting or developing in one or more of the following languages: UNIX Shell, Python, R, Ruby, GO, Java,.NET (C#), JavaScript
  • Knowledge of security concepts/best practices in securing application architectures from external threats
