About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Hampton Inn by Hilton Kingston. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel facilities, providing exceptional customer service, and supervising a team of housekeeping staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Housekeeping Activities: Oversee the daily housekeeping operations, ensuring that all rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Inspect and Maintain Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Manage Housekeeping Staff: Supervise and train a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the hotel's standards.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service.
  • Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure that all housekeeping activities are carried out in accordance with the hotel's quality standards and policies.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or hospitality-related role.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to odours, dust, and dirty conditions.
  • Work Setting: Hotel, motel, or resort environment.
  • Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
