About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Hampton Inn by Hilton Kingston. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel facilities, providing exceptional customer service, and supervising a team of housekeeping staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Housekeeping Activities
    • Oversee the daily cleaning and maintenance of hotel rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities
    • Ensure that all housekeeping tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
  • Inspect and Maintain Facilities
    • Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
    • Recommend and implement improvements to housekeeping procedures and protocols
  • Supervise and Train Housekeeping Staff
    • Supervise and train a team of housekeeping staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties to a high standard
    • Provide coaching and feedback to housekeeping staff to improve their performance and address any issues
  • Collaborate with Other Departments
    • Work closely with other departments, including front desk, food and beverage, and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College diploma or equivalent in a related field (e.g. hospitality, hotel management)
    • 1-2 years of experience in a housekeeping or hospitality role, with supervisory experience preferred
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 lbs)
