Job Title: Technical Support Specialist
Location: Fredericton, NB
Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – Work Completed
Pay Rate: $25.00/hr

Position Overview:
Advantage Personnel is on the lookout for a Technical Support Specialist to enhance our service team in Fredericton, NB. This position is ideal for an individual who excels in fast-paced settings and is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer support. You will operate across various sites in Fredericton, NB, utilizing technology to manage team activities. We seek a proactive individual who is adaptable and proficient in diverse technologies.

Key Duties:

• Provide daily assistance to end users with desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot technical problems that necessitate hands-on intervention or surpass Service Desk capabilities.

• Implement IT solutions for user devices and introduce innovative technologies such as computers, tablets, printers, VoIP phones, networking equipment, servers, satellite systems, and software.

• Assess and document significant issues, escalating them when necessary.

• Monitor and ensure timely escalation of customer concerns to internal teams and vendors.

• Conduct preventive maintenance, upgrades, and installations.

• Offer support to retail outlets and client partners in the surrounding area.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in a relevant technical discipline.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in customer-facing technical roles.

• Strong customer service orientation with a focus on high-quality service delivery.

• Physical ability to set up and deploy computer equipment.

• Proficiency in: Windows 10, Microsoft 365, Microsoft SCCM, DHCP, DNS, WiFi.

• Basic networking knowledge including wireless and endpoint switching (Cisco, Juniper), and client remote access.

• Preferred certifications: Network+, A+, Lenovo Hardware, Dell Hardware, Cisco Switching (CCNA).

Work Environment:
The Technical Support Specialist role requires frequent travel to various job settings, including customer sites and retail locations as necessary.
