We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at North York General Hospital. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all ultrasound imaging examinations with precision and accuracy
- Ensure imaging equipment is in proper working order and necessary supplies are on hand
- Record and compute supply inventory for assigned area
- Correlate history, physical findings, lab reports, etc., with examinations required
- Work under pressure in a quick and efficient manner
- Demonstrate excellent clinical and technical skills
- Work effectively with the imaging team
- Operate all the equipment in the ultrasound area
- Assist in training ultrasound students
- Successful completion of a recognized sonography program from an accredited institution
- Current registration with the CMRITO is required
- Current registration with Sonography Canada is preferred
- Strong medical imaging background and a minimum of one year as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
- Hospital experience is an asset
- Bilingualism in French/English is an asset
