Job Title: Account Executive - Public Sector Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Account Executive to join our Public Sector team in Alberta. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering innovative and effective solutions to our clients in the Public Sector industry.

About the Role:

This is a hybrid role that offers the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Calgary or Edmonton office. You will be responsible for leading and overseeing the 120-day Renewal Process, preparing renewal reports, presenting to clients for approval, acquiring binding orders, reviewing policy documentation, and delivering to clients in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee the 120-day Renewal Process, including preparing renewal reports, presenting to clients for approval, acquiring binding orders, reviewing policy documentation, and delivering to clients in a timely manner;
  • Lead by example and assist colleagues in delivering DAU to clients and prospects;
  • Deliver continuous excellence in servicing an existing book;
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Alberta to identify specific client and prospect needs and develop innovative and cost-effective solutions;
  • Ensure all procedures, internal client documents, and correspondence are in compliance with Aon audit standards;
  • Coordinate/lead the strategy for the account and the ongoing requirements during the year, leading negotiations with underwriters;
  • Cross-sell and expand existing insurance programs with clients; develop and lead client relationships to increase penetration sales and cultivate new business opportunities;
  • Produce new business and assist in the development of sales and marketing strategy to cultivate revenue generation opportunities;
  • Develop new contacts and establish relationships with prospects that align with the Region/Branch's acknowledged targeted industry or segment groups;
  • Act as the visible face of Aon to clients/prospects in the community, working to consistently prospect and facilitate lead generation activities;
  • Participate in industry-sponsored events and maximize opportunities to become involved with various industry committees;
  • Lead by example by demonstrating and sharing with all lines of business the importance of
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 8+ years of commercial risk experience;
  • Public Sector related experience considered an asset;
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a broad range of audiences;
  • Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task;
  • Level II license required;
  • Consistent track record of prioritizing tasks under ambitious timelines;
  • Strong digital literacy and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Package.
