Underground Project Operations Manager

We are currently in search of a dedicated Underground Construction Manager to oversee underground mining initiatives within our Prairie Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate construction activities to fulfill client and regulatory standards
  • Create comprehensive construction strategies to guarantee project completion
  • Serve as a technical authority for construction initiatives and assist in cost estimation
  • Continuously review work specifications, timelines, and financial reports to adhere to project schedules and budgets
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and policies
  • Manage all resource needs including personnel, equipment, and materials
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Oversee personnel, address development needs, and manage project initiation
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost-reduction strategies
  • Administer contractual agreements and claims to mitigate project risks

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience in underground and surface construction as a Construction or Operations Manager
  • Strong leadership capabilities and a commitment to safety culture
  • Understanding of construction methodologies and prior experience in mine construction
  • Experience in civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural construction
  • Ability to promote safe work practices in high-pressure situations
  • Expertise in project management, contracts, and project execution
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills

This position requires regular travel to various project sites.
